Elevator Broken, Use the stairs
The elevator to success is out of order. You’ll have to use the stairs… one step at a time

We are talking about changes ! how to change our own habit….
Every so often, people get inspired and motivated (Again!) but how many of them do continue their promise to themselves ?
The main problem here is, many people think that when they are full of energy to change themselves, they’ll absolutely get it in an instant way and just like using elevator. Perhaps, it might not true or vice versa. But mostly is.
I experienced this several times so I do know how do it feel to make a commitment for changing habit today and for a week later then I switched back……
Yeah, we’re always got stuck with our own elevator and when the condition makes us panicked then we decided to go back for the safety sake. (note the panicked as we’re bore and got stressed from a process to change our habit)
Now!
How if….. we change the way we changing our habit ?
we change it a little and continuously.
Yeah, many of you will think “well, I’ve changed myself a little bit and continuously” , seriously, you might wrong !
Here’s the method that I just read about and combined with a personal addition. It’s just like we get into a condition where we can’t change drastically (using the elevator) and then we change it a step by step (using the stairs) . Why not ? the objective is still the same, to change our habit (get to higher level)
-the example is actually my experience-
- List your habit-change wishlist (e.g I will stop smoking from this month! , I will stop to wake up above 9 A.M etc…)
- Choose which one is the easiest and which one is the hardest, give it a rank if it more than two.
- Then take the easiest habit-change task… for me it’s to stop smoking.
- Complete it and define the target or the successful criterion for that task (For me, my successful criterion is that when I can pass 1 month without smoking , and I had in my mind that I was prohibited to eat the food I love most, steamed fish with ginger before I can complete this)
- If you had complete ur mission then give a reward to yourself. ( So, I’d passed the 1 month trial and then I rewarded myself by eating food I love the most) This will kept you’re spirit in continuing your habit changing progress.
- Then choose the harder task to comply, for me it’s to wake up earlier -_-a
- and loop to the 4th. and so on
